Thanks to all those who attended our "Discover Spinning Day" on Saturday 16th July 2022
Gai hosted the event and spoke at length about spinning fibre, drop spindles and spinning wheels. Lots of people enjoyed our drop spindle talk and many had a go. Drop spindle spinning is the easiest and quickest way to start enjoying this wonderful craft as many discovered!
The spinning wheel discovery session was particularly popular with lots of Ashford and Kromski spinning wheels out for people to view and try out. Everyone had a different favourite which just goes to show how personal spinning wheel choice can be. We were happy that we encourage so many to take up spinning and look forward to their private classes and to supporting them as they gain experience.
Our regular sit and spinners were in attendance and were only too pleased to show off their wheels and their hand spun yarn. We were blessed with the weather and look forward to our next event.
